We went to Sugar Land, Tx this past weekend to visit the Hill Family! Jennifer, Stephen, and two of the most precious children God could create. Cavett and Kendrick, my great nephews. (Not to leave anyone out, the other three most precious children are Anna Grace, Zeke, and William) That's right, mom has 5 - five! great grandchildren.
We had a great time and just loved on everybody. Spending time with Cavett and Kendrick made me feel the awesome presence of God. To experience their innocence and share special moments with them is such a blessing. Cavett has a unique gift of gab and Kendrick is a cuddly bundle of sweetness.
When you hold a new life in your arms, there is a connection to the Almighty Father. To touch the miracle of life, to examine the features of this little one, is to remind me that God is real and He lives in us. To all of you in my family that I have held and hope to hold....

Back to Work
I made it! Back to work that is...
3 days so far. There were a lot of warm welcomes and hugs, I am blessed with lots of good work folks that make it a great place to be. I get tired at times and it's hard to arise at 5 am. I pray for strength and energy - it will come, one day at a time.
My October project will be designing and conducting a fire drill for each OR. On Monday, we will do the one for the outpatient OR. There is nothing more devastating as a fire in the operating room. It is an oxygen enriched environment and there is always the potential for bad things to happen. The surgical team works diligently to protect the patient and provide quality care.
